THAI KOON GROUP was honored to welcome a delegation of faculty members and students from the Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Interior Architecture Program, Thammasat University, for an educational visit and academic exchange. The delegation attended a knowledge-sharing lecture delivered by Ms. Saruta Kiatphakphum, lecturer and designer, and founder of the PiN Metal Art brand.
On Tuesday, 10 February 2026, Thai Koon Group was pleased to host faculty members and third-year students from the Interior Architecture Program
Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Thammasat University, as part of the course 1A 322 Furniture Design, Semester 2/2025. The visit involved a total of 35 students and 3 faculty members.
In its capacity as a manufacturer within Thailand’s steel industry, Thai Koon Group provided a comprehensive tour of its production processes and shared relevant technical knowledge that could be applied for academic and practical purposes. Participants also attended a lecture by Ms. Saruta Kiatphakphum, focusing on design practice and material application in metal furniture design of Pin Metal Art, the founder’s brand.
The course places emphasis on enabling students to learn and practice fundamental furniture design principles, material studies, and techniques used in the design of built-in furniture, including material joining methods and surface finishing techniques. The teaching faculty recognized that Thai Koon Group possesses expertise and practical knowledge that closely align with the learning objectives of the course. It is anticipated that this visit will serve as a foundation for fostering a strong and sustainable academic partnership, as well as mutual understanding and knowledge exchange, in the future.
