THAI KOON GROUP was honored by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment with a Certificate of Commendation in the category of Forest Resource Restoration and Development for the year 2025

On Thursday, September 18, 2025, the executives and staff of THAI KOON GROUP made history as the first in the Thai steel industry to be honored by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. They received a Certificate of Commendation as an assisting agency to the Royal Forest Department for the year 2025 in the category of Forest Resource Restoration and Development. The award was presented at the 129th Anniversary Ceremony of the Forest Department, held under the theme “Protecting Forests, Preserving All Life” at Meeting Room 1, 2nd Floor, Thiam Komkris Building, Forest Department, Bangkok.

The “Planting Forests: 65 Years, 65 Rai” project by THAI KOON GROUP aims to restore the natural life cycle. It was launched in 2021, covering 50 rai in Chonburi Province and 15 rai in Chiang Rai Province, with the goal of carefully nurturing the growth of trees over a 10-year period. Over the past four years, continuous efforts have been made to fulfill the commitment to “Multiply Every Value for Business, Society, and the Environment.”

Thai Koon has reached this milestone because the brand embodies the Thai Koon DNA: “Beyond Good Steel.” This represents not only high-quality steel but also the organization’s commitment to doing “better” for society and the environment. This prestigious award affirms that the Thai steel industry can advance sustainably with a heart for society. THAI KOON GROUP will continue driving positive change in all dimensions, serving as an inspiration for the industry to collectively move toward a sustainable future.
