A Summary for Thai Koon Group:
In collaboration with PiN Metal Art, THAI KOON GROUP has created a remarkable act of giving by transforming scrap metal into valuable works of art through the THAI KOON x PiN For Thai Elephants: Elephant Hope Lamp' project. This initiative aims to raise funds to support the sustainable care of Thai elephants, and has successfully sold the Elephant Lamps. The proceeds, after covering expenses, will be donated to two Thai elephant conservation organizations:
- The Save Elephant Foundation.
- The Thai Elephant conservation Fund.
This contribution will help support conservation efforts and enhance the quality of life for Thai elephants.
From Scrap Metal... To the Light of Hope for Thai Elephants
The “Elephant Hope Lamp” project was born out of THAI KOON GROUP's commitment to social and environmental responsibility under the concept of “Beyond Good Steel.”
By applying the principles of Circular Economy, we transformed scrap metal left over from our production process into meaningful valuable works of art.
- Collaboration:
This project marks a significant partnership with Khun Pin-Srutha Kiattipakphum, the artist and designer behind PiN Metal Art, who transformed discarded steel into elephant-shaped lamps symbols of hope and compassion.
- Inspiration:
The project was inspired by rescue stories of Phang Thai Koon and Phlai Khwanmuang, elephants who were injured and disabled from being overworked; their stories reflect THAI KOON GROUP’s deep connection to and commitment toward the welfare of Thai elephants.
Success through Determination and the Support of All
The sold Elephant Hope Lamps embody the growing awareness and participation
in the Thai elephants conservation by people across society—honoring these majestic creatures, which symbolize national pride and heritage.
THAI KOON GROUP and PiN Metal Art would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone We sincerely hope that this “Light of Hope” will continue to illuminate the path toward a better and more sustainable future for all Thai elephants.
